Melting ICE Exhibit was developed as a project of Monument Labs Re:Generation 2024 in partnership between La Resistencia and Global Rights Advocacy.
Melting ICE Exhibit is a traveling, multi medium public exhibition featuring the stories and experiences of people previously detained at the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma, Washington. Through the testimonies of those detained, they examine the private prison system and highlight the efforts of La Resistencia, a grassroots organization led by undocumented immigrants and people of color fighting to end detentions and stop deportations.
Melting ICE Exhibit has been shown in various ares of the Pacific Northwest between 2024-2025.
