La Resistencia reached out to units G3 and G4. G3 informed La Resistencia they ended their hunger strike on Saturday and G4 on Sunday because many people in their units take medications and they need food in their system. GEO came to speak with them promising them new menus, bigger portions, and better food. The units will eat until Thursday to see if anything changes. If the conditions remain the same. Reposting due to some updates from the hunger strike Detained Immigrants in the infamous Northwest Detention Center shared updates about GEO’s retaliation today. GEO did NOT allow people on hunger strike speak with Congresswoman Dexter (OR). “We won’t eat until they sign our petition.” Family members are struggling to provide funds for their loved ones in detention. “If you don’t have commissary you can’t survive.” In addition, some of the strikers are in segregation and at least one person was transferred. As the strike continues and more people face retaliation by GEO Group and ICE, people on hunger strike continue to ask for the public’s support in spreading the word so their demands are met!#ChingaLaMigra #AbolishICE #AbolishGEO #FreeThemAIl#ShutDownNWDC
